A Time of Culinary Discovery in Lancaster County

Each winter we sit back and ask ourselves what we can do different this year for our culinary tours in Lancaster County PA. With that we start to search both on internet and on ground for new and exciting venues to bring our guest when staying at one of our bed and breakfast. What we discover is that our search is not that difficult.

Lancaster County is a very exciting place to live... the search for fresh and local is easy to come by. Lancaster County boasts loads of local produce, fresh smoked meats and cheeses, home canned goods and fresh baked breads just to name a few. Many of you may have been on some of our tours and have experienced many of these culinary treats.

Well this year we are locating new and exciting "one-of-a-kind" places to bring our guest. From brew houses and vintners to candy makers and Amish cheese mongers the list goes on. As a matter of fact just talking today with one of the Local Cheese Artisans; he mentioned that perhaps soon they will be making cave ripened cheese. The craftsmanship in Lancaster County is continuing to grow.

We start off our year with a new and exciting twist to our February Chocolate Tour.... This one will pair our two favorite things, Chocolate and Wine. As we traverse the Amish Country side, we take our guest on a tour to two different wineries and two different Candy Makers. The two swirled together are an intoxicating mixture of culinary pleasure throughout the day.

We continue on with our Amish tour in March and then our Cheese and Wine tours starting in April. The tour list continues on with many of our guests favorites, only difference is that many of the venues will be different this time as we bring to you our new found discoveries throughout the county.

Be sure to catch all the excitement and keep up to date as we update the Lancaster County Tours website. This is total immersion into Lancaster County and the Amish way of life... come see for yourself.
